Manchin: It's time Biden learn a lesson

Manchin has some strong language for Biden, that "it is time he learn a lesson that his words matter and have consequences.”

You'd think he was talking about Trump, but he wasn't. It was directed at Biden.

Biden had said, "we’re going to be shutting these plants down all across America and having wind and solar also providing tax credit to help families buy energy-efficient appliances.”

To which Jean-Pierre said of this, "the President’s remarks yesterday have been twisted."

Sure, lady. He said what he said, it is what it is. This is why Democrats don't even like Biden (you know you'd have voted for a better candidate if available.)

Let's hope we can, at minimum, get a rock and paint a blue D on it for the 2024 election as it would be an upgrade. Personally I'm hoping for Manchin but I'm aware 99% of you think I'm nuts for it -- and that is fine.

Even if Biden feels that way or even if you support that idea, you can agree that there's probably a better way to say that. Or not even say it at all, especially in such a perilous time like this where they cannot afford to lose a single vote this year or in 2024.

Coal is dying due to economic reasons. WV and Manchin really need to learn to deal with it and work on what comes next for that state.

Yeah, domestic thermal coal consumption is done within the next 10 years. Manchin and others can say whatever they like, the market has spoken. Gas is what really killed coal. Renewables are just rolling the corpse into its grave.

It's fallen below nuclear power and keeps dropping.

Then why give ammunition to the right to run with this clip for the next 2 years? Just let the industry die off.

Yep, most of the comments to his comments, as disingenuous as they are, criticize him for being out of touch with half the public and causing further divisiveness. Which is total bs, but he did give them ammunition.

I wouldn't say anything about it at all because it triggers conservative identity politics. Hillary tripped over the same thing but it was worse coming form her because she's a woman.
Lots of people think they live in "coal country" and that its in their blood or something when none of them have mined in generations and only the industrial mess is left from the operations.

Make no mistakes about the facts though, the only thing left soon will be met coal.

I know god forbid we hurt the “fuck your feelings” guys feelz.
Fuck them, they have had multiple offers to retrain, to sell their property so they can move where the fucking jobs are and other incentives. Each and every time they say “No!” Then cheer bailouts for mine owners who then either automate their mines or sell the land for another purpose. Fuck all these guys. Deal with what you’ve voted for.

I see it more of a warning to get with the times and adapt, this is the same gop that had a fucking hissy fit because of a tan suite, they'd latch onto something else to bitch about anyways

Nah, Biden was the best candidate and anyone with a brain knows it. Crazy people usually assume everyone else is crazy like them. Normal people realized the inoffensive salt of the earth guy was the strongest.

You do realize that if Trump remained president, and coal usuage kept declining, with the number of jobs in the industry.... Trump and Republicans would end up having no possible excuses for what is happening to WV jobs. WV may have then learned something, and might have started voting for Democrats again.

America would be better off if people like Manchin the corrupt DINO could learn several lessons. Appreciating science for starters.

Any two face crook who puts his wallet ahead of the good of the entire country can piss off, his opinion of Biden citing reality is duly noted, summarily ignored.

Please tell me the person next to Manchin in the right photo is his daughter, and we do not have another person like Trump who is marrying/divorcing young women besides their age.

LMAO

No, this is a cultural and identity issue not something his voters give a fuck if his policy actually did or not. When you point out his various failed promises all I hear “at least he tried” when he usually didn’t bother at all.

I forgot to mention anything about the fact he did those things just to get more money in his pockets from the coal and oil company. Trump is a man who would do anything if you could pay him money in my opinion. No doubt, if someone had payed him enough money, he might have even called Abott a racist. Trump counts Benjamins instead of sheep when he is sleeping.

To sum it all up, Trump is a greedy person.

The day nobody goes underground to mine coal will be a blessed day. Coal mining kills miners.
