After placing an order with PClinks.co.uk they rsng to say they had none left only to ring back 20 minutes later saying they'd found one, the last one left. Thank God.

Now I believe the stepping code is pretty close to mine except that it's a 0321 as opposed to my 0320.

Is it usually the case that the higher the week the less of an overclocker it is, earlier weeks being the best? Or is it a case of pot luck where that's concerned.

I'm going to wait till my Mushkin PC3500 Level II BH-5 arrives then test both of them to see which proves to be the champ overclocker then sell the weaker one off. Hopefully the new one will be better as I can't seem to get a multiplier past 11*200 no matter what voltage I use on my current chip.

It should arrive tommorrow hopefully, so in a week or so if anyones interested in a 1800+ DLT3C then just let me know. :)

Richdog.

Where did you hear that?
It's the other way around, but yes luck is a big factor.
I own a JIXIB week 32 which are known to do 2.4-2.6 on air www.overclockers.com.
I've seen JIXIB do 2.5 ghz 24hr prime stable @ 1.6v
I'm awaiting my NF7-S and I'll post my results.
Best of luck with ur new chip.

I agree... The newer the week doesn't ALWAYS mean better yields..

I have an 0310

That does 2.4ghz ( 1.75V )

Guess I'll just have to stick it in and see then.

CarpeDiem99, where did you get your JIXIB from just out of interest? :)

Just received the CPU from the postie and the stepping is...

AXDA1800DLT3C 9885366270121 JIUHB0321XPMW

Interestingly, AMD CPU decoder says my new CPU is downgraded from a 2700+, whereas my old CPU was supposedly downgraded from a 2500+

Whether this makes a difference is yet to be seen...

Good give you a better shot at a higher overclock...

Too bad you didn't get one downgraded from a 3200+..

From local store, I was amazed they had 0332 JIXIB and bought the last 2 they had.
I got my NF7-S and with my pc2100 ram at turbo timings, running 2.33 ghz 14 x 166 @ 1.75 Vcore
I fail to load windows at 15 x 166
Hopefully with some good ram I can get 2.5 ghz :)

okay what the heck are you supposed to put into those 3 fields in the stepping decoder?

Just type in each part of the stepping as it appears on your CPU. You can tell which code youre supposed to put into which box just by looking at the example stepping in each field.

The part containing DLT3C DUT3C etc. goes into the first field e.g. AXDA1800DLT3C. The part that ia ALL numbers goes into the second field next to it e.g. 9567346250245. The bottom and last field contains the JIUHB part e.g. JIUHB0320UPMW.

That better? :)

I'm running at 166 x 14 @ 1.79 vcore on tight timings, I have done 5 hours of prime95 and is very stable.
I can get 2.5 166 x 15 @ 1.85 vcore but doesn't seem to be fully stable, need some time to investigate.
So far my temps are 30 on cpu and 15 on the case @ 1.79 V with air cooling.
I really need some good ram, I want to run 200 fsb dual channel x 12.5 @ 2.5 ghz :)
My JIXIB chip is a downgraded 2600 it seems. :)

thanks for the great decoder tool. According to that tool, my CPU is a downgraded 2800+, which is 11x200, which is what i am testing right now.

My stepping is

AXDA1700DLT3C 9591037281387
JIUHB 0319WPMW

I have a crappy Gigabyte 7N200 Pro2 board, not very OC friendly, i think the voltage is at 1.6 since the default is 1.5 and I set it to be VCore + 7.5% = ~1.61V

Running Prime now

You're wasting your CPU/Mobo/RAM by not running >200FSB. Go for it!
