Manage 3D settings driver

PeteRoy

Senior member
I use Vista 64 bit with GTX 280 video card and since I installed the new drivers all my game profiles have been lost in Manage 3D settings.

"No programs were found"

Even when I browse to my game exe and change settings and close the Nvidia control panel it will not remember what I did and when I go to the control panel again the game profile is empty.

I tried to uninstall reinstall the driver, didn't work, I tried to install newer and older versions, didn't work.

What can I do? Thanks.

I posted this topic in official Nvidia boards and no one even answered 🙂

whoa... that's not good. Try nHancer (nhancer.com) to see if your profile gets updated. Plus, you might just like using nHancer better anyway.

edit: uncheck the "show only programs found on this computer". The driver doesn't find most apps in my experience, especially if you use Steam.

edit 2: if you really want to keep it checked, just add your apps back manually using the add function.

I did uncheck or added them manually, that doesn't work either.

For example, if I uncheck and use custom settings they are never saved, same thing if I add mnually, it's not saved.

Didn't work, I used Driver Sweeper so I uninstalled the drivers, restart, I cleaned files with it, restart, I install latest drivers, restart, still same problem. :/

happens to me as well. It detects some apps but not all. Not really big deal for me, though. I just uncheck the box and find the app, then configure the setting. Even if the app disappears after I check the box, ForceWare still remembers the configuration for the apps it seems.
