flipping is like winning, if you do it in the Olympics and get a gold medal for it.

I find it amazing that someone worth about 20-30 million would need to get a 6 million loan and hide it from a bankruptcy court. Simply amazing people don’t appreciate what they have

Why would he flip if there is nothing to flip for?

Nothing burger?

It would be self serving to post my favorite gif concerning this turn of events, so I won't.

Manafort senior still hasn't been flipped. I've got to believe he knew about this already, so I don't know what it will take to get him to flip. I guess he's still betting on accusing the government of some conspiracy that made him launder all that money and do other criminal acts. Seems to be the new angle Trumps working on now that they know there was a FBI plant somewhere in the organization that "framed him". Had nothing to do with all kinds of evidence that our government would have been negligent if they hadn't. EDIT: hadn't put the plant in (not "framed him")

Plutonium poisoning is a strong deterrent

That’s the latest Fox News angle to give Trump cover.

My bet on the "FBI Plant" was Felix Sater. Guy has been an informant for years on a variety of things.

I've seen Manafort's resistance largely as a matter of his personality. He's a mini-Trump in that he revels in the trappings of wealth and will do anything to hold on to that lifestyle. Even though he's guilty as sin, he doesn't dare flip because that cuts off his sources of revenue. Spending some time in prison might be worth it to him if it means Russian oligarchs and Trump allies (same thing, really) are ready to pay you when you get out.

Or when you've made a history of supporting despots and dictators prison may be safer than flipping.

He would probably spend the rest of his life in prison, but if he ends up doing so having fought his enemies, that might be preferable to his psyche than admitting he is the enemy.

But I'm not sure about the plutonium poisoning angle, either.

Interesting view, but I'm still thinking that if Manafort hasn't flipped it is because of the Russians and the heinous deaths they impose almost at will anywhere in the world.

I say "if" he hasn't flipped yet because it is not in Manafort nor Mueller's best interests to publicize it immediately if he has flipped.
