i hate going to the gym to bench. before i was able to bench 135 and max 155 (i only weighed 110-115 att), which to me was a 'normal' weight. but now i can't do 135 any more. it's embarrassing going to the gym where all the football players and buff doods are lifting at LEAST 135. is there anything that i can do at home to help me out a little? i have dumbbells, no bench though.

It's much easier to get back muscle that once was there. Just work at it for a few weeks and you'll be back to where you were.

So what.. I bench with my friend, and everybody in the weight room can bench more than me, but I don't care. It's about you, not how other people look at you..

yea, i guess you are right. gotta get over it.

Here's the deal, the guys who are big and strong and can lift a lot don't care how much/little you can lift. They got the way they are by starting at your level, and they remember all the hard work they put in to get where they are today. The guys who give you any crap are the ones who need that ego boost needed by the people who can't actually do things.
