This happened about 300 feet from my home. I encountered the homeless man dozens of times over the last two years. He's harmless, and far from worthless.

" During the scuffle, Thomas suffered head and neck injuries and was taken to a hospital. At least six officers were involved in the fight. Two officers suffered moderate injuries during the fight, including broken bones."

He is obviously NOT Harmless. When you fight with the police ... you get what you ask for.

Read the thread. Apparently the police lied and have withdrawn the claim that they were injured.

Apparantly there is a video of the beating that the city is not release. Here is someones description (not verified by anyone obviously):

- One officer supposedly beat Kelly Thomas with the butt of his Taser until blood started coming up all over the officer’s arms and hands.
- Another officer supposedly drop knees Kelly Thomas’ nose and throat with the full force of his body weight multiple times, crushing the victim’s throat.
- This happened while Kelly Thomas was not moving or resisting.
- The officers involved were allegedly shown the video while they were writing their reports, allowing them to make sure that all of their accounts match.
- Officer Hampton was allegedly attempting to handcuff the suspect but had to back off because the blood from another officer’s strikes was splattering on him.

How exactly do you have an accurate description of a video, down to close-up blood splatter information, that has not been released? Did Michael Bay happen to be there standing directly over the cops' shoulders?

I'm not saying it isn't true, but your description is hardly passing the stink test.

I understand it's not your info, and recognize that you at least acknowledged the video account is not verified, but come on...

Look how easy this is:

My name is Jeeebus. I was waiting for the bus that night when I heard a homeless guy scream. I ran over and saw six cops standing around him. The guy was obviously high on PCP or something because he lunged at one of the officers, bit him on the neck, and started wildly flailing his arms beating the poor cop. The others tried pulling him off, but the guy kept attacking. I think he's MMA trained because he grabbed two of the officers and broke their arms. The cops kept hitting him to get him to stop his attack, and eventually subdued and handcuffed him.

Voila... it's on the internet, and is now true.

Is that really a pic of him? I thought it was against HIPPA to release that kind of stuff?

Anyways if that is him the cops went way beyond trying to subdue a suspect and full on beat him down to the point of death. I have no problem sending these 6 to jail.

his father is in the paper crying foul, but why wasnt he keeping him off the streets in an instituition where he could get help?

This is exactly the point I was going to make. I haven't read the whole story, but I imagine if the father would have helped his son find a place to live, he wouldn't be vandalizing cars in the first place.

I suggest you do some research first. The information came from an anonymous source, most likely a police officer. He appeared on John and Ken on KFI AM640 at least twice over the last week, and I personally believe him to be credible.

So what you're saying is that if I read my paragraph you quoted while anonymously calling a radio station, that makes it credible?

Did I leave out the part where I'm also a homeless man in Fullerton that was friends with the victim? That makes me more credible, right?

Look, my only point is that an unconfirmed story from an anonymous source is worth about as much as the paper it is printed on. Could it be true? Sure. Could it be false? Sure. The only thing that is clear to me is that those who are putting faith into the anonymous source are doing so because they've already made up their minds on what happened.

You have a valid point, but I think if you researched the incident you would feel differently.

I have made up my mind, you are correct. I'm more than confident I'm on the right side of this one.

The guy at 1:56:10 was obviously drunk lol.

I don't think he was drunk.... he's a Vietnam veteran who most likely suffers from a severe case of PTSD, in my opinion. There were some interesting people there, though.

Maybe visually drunk is better description? I was 2nd guessing myself as well, but drunk was the best description.

I obviously don't believe in violence or torture, but mentally ill, violent people need to be removed from society.

I'm all for compassion, but mentally unstable violent people have no place in our society.

Everyone knows the words that come before "but" don't really count. If you have no empathy, just come out and say so.
