Inconceivable!

Next they're going to say American Idol and TRL are fake too!

Yea, it is definitely not real. He jumped into water with full gear on, for no reason, and then had to sleep in a pit surrounded by fire to stay warm and to dry his clothes. A real survivalist wouldn't have jumped in the damn water.

He still eats nasty stuff. I don't think they fake that.

Pretty much, yeah. It would be extremely boring to watch him plod through the jungle for an hour, I'd much rather watch him prove he's utterly insane by jumping down mountains and such

Although I do prefer Survivorman, looking forward to the new season

What? Doesnt water make you warmer and increase your chances to survive?

Also Survivorman is more hardcore. Les Stroud does the camera work himself.

2 basic ingredients of survival: water and fire

he starts every episode with a canteen and a flint

les stroud (survivorman) does it with a harmonica and a pocket knife ;cool;

He drank his own pee. I'm sure I would fake that and get some water from the camera man.

It is an informational show designed for entertainment. I doubt seriously that anyone is watching this show taking notes in preparation for a trip into the wild. Do you suppose that people watch Discovery Health to learn how to perform surgery?

Yeah drinking turtles' blood and squeezing 'water' from fresh elephant dung is pretty nasty. Not to mention the still warm urine drinking.

Man Vs. Wild is decent entertainment. I wonder how he would do without the flint and canteen though.

yeah idk he jumped in that hole in the frozen water that one time. I always assumed pending an emergency he would be saved. I also assumed that he does most of the stuff on his own with a camera crew following him. Not sure what agreements they have i.e no talking to him etc.

Squeezing the elephant dung to get the moisture out over his open mouth was far worse.

though survivorman is more authentic, its entertaining watching him bite into a live snake; throw a log at a bunny to kill it; skin a deer; break a rabbit's neck; judo'chopping said rabbit, etc

According to the article, he stayed in a motel. Like the Pines Resort

Survivorman is better. That's the real deal, no camera crew but himself. Unfortunately the video isn't as good, but understandably...

i am always suprised that they show him dispatching animals. like when he ate that frog then found a turtle and jabbed a knife in its head. i dont think i have ever seen any program (besides a hunting show) do that. hell even some hunting shows dont show the shot. but when he ate that frog my kids went running out of the room screaming.
