this is pretty good, fwiw. they sure advertised it for long enough.
the will ferrell thing was a bit weird; i didn't quite 'get' it. but this makes a bit more sense- hunky male star on the rise that is actually in shape and a bit outdoorsy. that should make ratings somehow. they're not exactly les stroud, but then again, les stroud would lay in the shade for an entire day if he deemed it neccessary- awesome, gutsy, smart guy, he is, but not always entertaining.
these two are entertaining. i knew jake gyllenhaal was somewhat intelligent with a good sense of humor. combine him with bear grylls and doing things that people would probably NOT attempt in a survival situation and eh...it's entertainment.
not that a couple of days of alpine mountaineering with no supplies is really anything to sneeze at. but that hippy cody guy would be doing it shoeless.
