Man.... U-Haul is such a steaming pile of CRAP.

I've used them a couple times and had problems with the so-called "reservations" too, I think I'll be giving one of the other brands a try next time.

A bunch of friends of mine rented a UHaul and drove it up to Berkeley. First sign of trouble, if you turned off the engine you couldn't start it again for 30 minutes or so. When we called UHaul up, they said it was a common problem and you just had to wait 30 minutes or so. Second problem, on I-580, the engine fell out (I kid you not .... the oil light was busted and the engine seized and parts started falling out of the truck). THankfully we paid only 100 bucks for the entire trip so it wasn't a big deal. Still whenever I pass a UHaul center, I give it the finger. i HATE UHaul.

You forgot... the window that will roll down wont roll up again when you go to return the truck, you drive home to get some superglue and superglue it on. And you wonder why the other window won't roll down??

I just drove a U-Haul from Indiana to Wisconsin, a 24 foot GMC truck pulling a Volvo 740 on a U-Haul car trailer. Didn't have any problems other than when I drove the car onto the trailer, one of the tires was way low. I guess I was just lucky.
