Napierski was wearing a too-short cassock, a black fedora in place of a clergy's skull cap and a bright purple-pink sash that turned out to be a simple winter scarf. He was accompanied by a small entourage of fake priest assistants, according to some Italian news reports." (Read the full story)

just a little more research and he would have been in.

What's so special? A guy dresses up as a bishop and fools people that he's a bishop. If I dress up as a cashier and fool people that I am a cashier, so what? Was this place really so secure? Are Cardinals really so elite? Do I have to be a Catholic to understand that?

Except he didn't dress up as a bishop. He wore a fedora hat, a fucking purple scarf around his waist, and a bullshit garb and probably Mr. T starter kit around his neck. I don't care who you are, but that is funny right there.

RTFA.

The big deal is that he walked right past security. This is similar to that couple who walked right into a state dinner at the white house.

Not really. If I wore a blue shirt and khaki pants in Best Buy, some people would legitimately assume I'm a Best Buy employee even without the logo. I could probably sneak in with some purple sneakers too. Also, who says they didn't notice his uniform wasn't right? They probably just didn't say anything and it's "ZOMG FOOLED!"

I did read it. I get the impression that "security" is something anyone could walk past and that now they want to change that but the writer trumped it up to make it seem humorous. Maybe I just don't understand Catholics, but I see it as an inviting church, not a top secret military base with elite military strategists.
