I thought 1st degree burns were most painful. And 3rd degree least because it has already burned past the nerves? I had a 3rd degree burn on my hand and it didn't hurt all that bad. Firecracker blew up in my hand.

STFU and pay or don't come up to the register at all.

oh yeah, and i hope the guy who threw the coffee thrower gets an STD and his dick falls off.

I hope he got an STD from his very short stay in prison. Those 3 hours left his ass in a less than pristine state.

The coffee was clearly served too hot. Make sure that Dunkin Donuts is included in that lawsuit.

There's too many psychos in the world these days. Apparently he was mad about having to pay $5 and change for a couple of muffins and 2 coffees, so he decided to throw the coffees at the clerk. The coffee which landed on her face caused 1st degree burns.

There are two sides to every story.

Do you think it is not possible for the minimum wage workers to have an attitude and provoked the guy???
---------------------------
According to the police report read by Kusmin, Thomas entered the State Road business Saturday morning, and was "rude and swearing" and "upset because of the price and taxes on the order."

Kusmin said a receipt was printed by the first clerk, Megan Urichuk, and shown to Thomas, at which time he is said to have thrown the empty cardboard tray at Urichuk, striking her in the face while stating, "Why don't you finish your job and put my coffees in the tray."

Kusmin said Hanson then spoke up, and said "Why don't you stop throwing things at her."

Thomas then allegedly threw the coffees at Hanson before turning and leaving the store. Court documents say Hanson received "first-degree thermal burns."

The incident was captured on the store's security camera.

Thomas "must have been having a bad day," said Hanson's sister, Rachel. "There have been conflicting reports about his demeanor. Nobody knew what he was thinking." Rachel Hanson said her sister was taking pain medication.

Outside court, defense attorney Christopher Faulkner said that "if the allegations are true," it would be out of character for his client.

According to the police report, Thomas told police that he threw the cardboard tray at a clerk, and that the tray, with coffee, was thrown back at him.

He expressed regret to police and "hoped the young lady wasn't hurt too bad."

Are you stupid? It was caught on camera.

He got upset at the prices, threw a cardboard box at the cashier, and then threw a coffee at the girl. It is entirely his fault, barring some omission in the story about the cashier stabbing him or something.

I am sure something deeper is bothering the person who threw the coffee. But being angry does not justified taking it out on the young lady selling doughnuts and coffee.

I am pretty sure I don't need to see a video or hear an exchange. Sorry, but throwing hot coffee is someone's face is not acceptable. Unless she was threatening him with severe physical harm this type of action is not justifiable.

Felony assault imo.

Guy is a 57 year old landscaper and was pissed about $5. How rich can he be?

The clerk can sue dunkin for making their coffee too hot and not including a warning on the cash register "If selling coffee to ornery cheap bastards, duck"

If somebody trew a box at me I would trow it right back at him. Would that then justify him to trow a coffee at me. I don't think so.
I'd love to see the video.

So even if we believe the guy's version.....

He threw something relatively harmless at someone first, they threw it back at him, then he throws hot coffee. Where is the provocation or justification?
