Man! Those 7900GTXs went quickly.

Been doing research in the lab tonight and checked stock at Newegg.com when I got back home. 5/8 of the 7900GTX cards are OOS now!

T'was 6 from 8 earlier. Their inventory has been showing some cards out of stock and then replenishing them later on, very odd. Still, no denying that a very substantial chunk of 'em are gone!

It's a LOT of card for the money.

People were waiting in line for 512GTXs at $750, to get faster ones at $500-$600 must seem like the deal of the century.

When you get right down to it, most enthusiasts have SLI motherboards, and these days, you can't count out the possible need for SLI.

The one I ordered at about 5pm has risen by $40 already. $499 to $539 over about 5hours! This may just be my first case of hardware appreciation (monetarily speaking).

I don't think there were *that* many - I remember when I woke up, one of the Leadtek ones had sold out at Newegg already. And I woke up very early, plus I'm on the east coast!

so why are people buying all the 7900GTX cards and not as many 7900GT cards? or do you mean they are buying both models up fast...?

I'm surprised the more expensive ($600) 7900 GTXs are selling out so fast. It seems the factory overclocked 7900GTs are much better deals. This card for example has speeds similar to the old 7800 GTX 512; two of them would destroy a 7900 GTX for only $60 more.

Ya i cant believe for only 330 bucks your getting the performance of a 7800gtx 512, wasnt that card selling for like 750 bucks couple months ago? I feel bad for all of those that shelled out that much moolah for one.
My xfx 7900gt 550/1630 card should be here today 😀

My eVGA 7900GTX is in Kansas City. Thank goodness for overnight shipping. If I can figure out how to benchmark Riddick, I think I might do a before and after comparison.
