I have cable modem and it keeps going down. I came back from school it wouldnt log on, now I got on for 5 minutes and it got off. So I dialed up to earthlink.
But now I feel it is back on again..

I have to run a test at dslreports.com and see what comes up.. with both cable modem and dialup on at the same time.

ok just did so.. it going thru the modem.

god this sucks.

My at&t roadrunner went down every 5 minutes about 1 month ago

Now I am calling earthlink.

restarted the router & modem and its back up. HOwever how long is a good question.
I am on the phone with earthlink and i have 20 minutes to wait.

Be sure you tell them you want a credit for all the down time. I've had cable since mid-December. At this point I've got enough "credit" with @home to last me through mid-April. If you don't ask, you don't get.
