We had a bomb threat at work today. About a dozen police from the bomb squad are checking the building right now (they sent us home until after lunch, when they'll make the call whether or not we stay or get released for the rest of the day). We're in a non-descript suburban office building, unmarked and away from significant areas. We have our bank (customer service reps and our brokerage team) and a pharmaceuticals company as the tenants. What possible reason would someone have for making a bomb threat here?
What's perhaps even more screwed up, is that i started thinking about how i would take down the building if i were going to try to do so (someone started making jokes about fertilizer bombs, and i corrected them saying that det-cord and C4 on the main support pillars would be better, etc.). I guess in some ways, that reflects the fact that i spent so much of my adult life in the military, and on a Spec Ops team at that, so i guess i was looking at it from the perspective of a challenge from the old days, kinda like "what's the best way to take down that bridge?" How screwed up is that?
