I think it's best to assemble computers only for yourself and your significant other, and maybe a younger sibling. Hell I even suggest dell to my parents over a self assembled system.

Let them get the dell - that way you dont take the fall if they have computer problems. Even if they get the system from the shop, they will go to you if they have problems since you recommended that system.
