I think he actually says "OH SH!T" or some such too, I would probably say the same thing if I realized my parachute was failing.

I would definately make a smart ass comment.
Something like, "Well sh!t..."
I refuse to do things like sky dive or bungee jump.
I wake up every day with a certain chance of dying. No need to pay to increase that chance.

its cool his friend landed as close s he could. even into thorny bushes he had to know that was going to hurt.

Yeah it didn't fail it just got tangled......and he landed on some dense foliage, the next best thing to a pillow factory.
