How about some non Trumpanzee news for a bit??

Taco Bell is being accused of false advertising regarding the amount of beef in its popular Crunchwrap Supreme and Mexican Pizza menu items, according to a federal lawsuit filed on behalf of all New York State customers.

The lawsuit referred to the taco chain’s actions as “unfair and deceptive,” showing photographic evidence of the lack of meat in items purchased by consumers, as compared to images used in ads.

The suit argues that Taco Bell’s advertising claims of generous portions entice customers to visit or order from their restaurants and make purchases they would not have otherwise made.

I don't know if I should laugh at the guy or cheer him and his lawsuit on! Probably going to go with the latter and hope he wins!

Even if he wins his lawyers will get $10 million, he'll get $50k, everyone else will get a coupon for 10% off a single Doritos Loco taco, and Taco Bell will continue to serve shitty portions of shitty food.

Weren't they sued a couple years ago because their "beef" had so many fillers it wasn't legally beef any more?

Unless the plaintiff can prove that the product in the ad contains more meat than the actual product and that there is intent to deceive, he will lose. It’s like those triangle sandwiches sold at convenience stores where the filling is all wadded up on the exposed cut face with nothing but empty bread behind it. While a crappy thing to do, it doesn’t constitute fraud.

My pet peeve is with KFC and their advertising this big bucket over-flowing with chicken pieces while they're advertising it as a ten piece meal special.

The pictures look essentially the same to me. The Ad one may be flattened a bit more to push the meat type filling product out to the edges.

That was basically the claim, the case was dismissed by the plaintiffs, and to celebrate, Taco Bell had 88 cent tacos (the lawsuit alleged it was only 35% beef, but it's actually 88% beef)
