Well first this takes place in Texas so that makes sense i guess. He is an ATM technician and he got locked inside of it.

Who still has a pen these days? Much less a marker?

If he didn't have paper, maybe he would've started handing out notes on $5s. He would've had a ton of attention.

Didn't have his phone but had his bosses phone number memorized? Maybe, but I don't buy it

I've got my bosses number memorized, I have to call him from the office a lot. Now that I think of it it's one of the few numbers, besides my own and my office/fax, that I do have memorized.

Depending on how he was stuck, disconnecting cables would've been a good point to start at also. That typically gets the NOCs attention pretty quick.

Yeah, this seems too odd, as a tech, he should have known which wire(s) or switches he could disconnect / flip to get someone there pronto...heck, even the cops.
