The sad part about this is, if someone were being assaulted by a gay person and the gay person didn't take no for an answer, grabbed the straight person and then the STRAIGHT person stabbed and beat HIM, THAT would be a hate crime. :roll:

I have BEEN in a situation like that. Thankfully it didn't come to blows (no pun intended).

As far as lesbians go, I think there are two distinct groups out there. One group is made up of people that just didn't get a good mix while in the womb and in their minds they are male. The second group is made up of men haters, who most often got that way because of bad things that were done to them by men. Those are the ones that HATE men and I'm sure the women that were involved in THIS were in the second category.

I doubt that ALL that was said by the women was posted in the story, and I'm willing to bet that they provoked the spitting and cigarette tossing by their overall hatred for men in general. Just the fact that they reacted as they did pretty much cinches that fact that they are men haters. All though to be fair, they more than likely had good reason to hate men in the first place. Still, that doesn't give them the right to act as they did.

Certainly possible. They also could have been scared sh1tless by the guys turn around. All these possibilities will have to be weighed in a Court of Law before a good judgement can be laid down.

There is no wai in hell what they did would be considered a proportionate and reasonable self-defence to what he did on the facts we have...deal with it ;)

I have spent the last five years of my life at law school, so there's a slight chance i might have some idea of what i'm talking about...

I don't think this would be attempted murder. If they really wanted to murder him they probably wouldn't have left him alive. That being said, it sounds like a terrible case of assault with a deadly weapon.

I would consider stabbing somebody with any kind of knife and then beating and kicking him attempted murder. Yah know, that whole internal organ puncturing thing. Nothing short of shooting somebody in the face in my opinion.

You make that decision - do i inflect fatal harm or not? They chose to inflict fatal harm and they continuously chose that.

attempted murder, and a hate crime to boot.
