Man run over by motorist in downtown Dallas

DALLAS - A 23-year-old Indiana man was gravely injured early Sunday morning when a motorist ran over him in a downtown Dallas parking lot and then fled, police said.
Witnesses found Kyle Simcoe of Evansville lying in a vacant lot in the 400 block of South St. Paul Street, near Young Street, about 12:25 a.m., police said.
Investigators believe the motorist intentionally ran over Simcoe and are seeking additional witnesses.

As police officers arrived at the scene, they caught a man digging through Simcoe?s pockets and arrested him on theft charges. Larry Robertson, 48, is not believed to have been involved in the assault. He was being held at the Dallas County Jail on $25,000 bail Sunday afternoon.
