you probably aren't 6' 6", weigh 160 lbs with 3% body fat, have a credit score of 845 and have never bought a sony or bose product before either...

forgot to add no credit card debt and live in a $750K house that you will payoff in 3 years...

You forgot the 12 inch c0ck and the baller lifestyle. ;)

My cousin Matt Spaeth, whom was a 3rd round pick for the steelers (played for my almamada, University of Minnesota Twin Cities) doens't make nearly as much as you'd think. I'm just a consultant, and net income is roughly about even.

He made a comment the other day that he wishes he would've pursued continuing his education, and to be honest - I believe he was sincere.

Spaeth signed a three-year deal worth $1.15 million and a $564,000 signing bonus

That's an average of $570,333.33 per year before taxes. Even if he has to give half of that back for taxes, agents, etc., that is still some serious money.

And he is THIRD string TE!!!

EDIT: He could get more education in the off-season, too.

Who here brags about making serious bank other than Azurik (deservedly so, that guy's baller)? I'm just a grad student making negative money w/ the loans and what not.

I hear this joke all the time but I haven't seen any regulars on here totally BS their paygrade. Most guys are pretty modest in what they're reporting

LOL, but hey now, I don't really brag about the money I make... people just recognize me and what I do/did.

I drove a Ford Contour while I was in college! See!

It's the internet, people lie about everything.

Usually, it goes something like this

N00b: "Help, there's two gang bangers knocking on my door wanting to sell me something"

Internet Tough Guy 1: "Stop being a pussy. Open the door and shoot them with your shotgun"

Internet Tough Guy 2: "A shotgun is for girls. Use your fists! If it was me, I would take them both out no problem. But I am 6'9"

Internet Tough Guy 1: "What?!? A shotgun is for pussies?! Well, I'll have you know that I served 29 years in Iraq and shit bullets and piss hand grenades. You just cant afford one"

Internet Tough Guy 2: "Can't afford one?? I'm a defence laywer buddy. I earn $300k a year and drive a Porsche!!"

Internet Tough Guy 1: "Hahaha you're a lawyer?! I own a law firm buddy!!! I'm probably paying you!! I earn $3 million a year and fly a jet!!"

The real world and the internet do not mix.

I live in Kentucky, so my ~2k sq ft house was cheap as hell, and i know i give up a LOT of big city amenities for it, but we're OK with that. I make enough money that my wife can stay at home and take care of our daughter, we have two '99 vehicles that are paid off, and the only debt we carry is our mortgage and ~$4k in student loans.

I may not be livin' the high life but we have all we NEED, even if we can't have everything we want.

guess we're just insignificant little peons compared to the rest of ATOT :)

I wish I have enough money to go to Oregon to buy a Porsche and drive it home, no sales tax. With my job, I can only afford a Subaru, incidentally, that's what I'm driving.

I make good $ (broke 6 figures last year) but...

I have insufferable bosses who make my life a living hell, and I have concerns about job security, it's literally a day to day thing...

I drive a 10 year old cars. (My kid drives a newer car than I've ever owned, a real upscale 03' Corolla CE, LOL.)

I have a kid going to college next fall and the FASFA score indicates I get to pay for everything.

If I can just hang on till 59.5, I should be set, 11 years to go :(

Where do you see that? I've been here over 10 years (damn), and I've never really witnessed any of that. Most of the people that let out any indication of success likely have it. This is an online forum, after all. People are going to be a little more expressive about such things here than they likely are in person.

Well a computer and technology enthusiast does have a higher propensity to earn more.

Remember, we have to buy more material goods to impress people that we don't like!

I AM a bum. I'm posting from a stolen crackberry. :p

But seriously, I'm a regular guy, I make slightly above the average household income for this area, and I will (sob!) never own a Ferrari, unless one of my crazy stock schemes takes off.

You have to have a large e-penis to work here. I bet 3/4 of the people here don't do/have any of the stuff they say they do.

Now, I must go catch my helicopter so I can make it to the airport and be in Paris by tomorrow for lunch with Paris Hilton. She thinks they named the city after her and we're celebrating.
