It’s a good thing the administration is only going after the criminals. All these feel good stories must make his supporters proud. Military families torn apart, kids yanked from schools. Parents snatched away on the streets in front of them.

‘Murcia!

In the eyes of his supporters they are all equally criminal merely for being here. So they are very proud, and completely lacking in empathy for abstract people.

I'd be PISSED at the immigration lawyer who seems to have screwed up about the timing of adoption also.

Guess we're going to lose a man and his family who didn't follow the rules, so long, thanks for your service.

Edit: sorry for title not being correct, can't find how to edit it from phone. Should be PUTS not OUTS

Edit two: found it in thread tools!

She's got one more option left..

She needs to marry an American citizen five minutes ago, and that will stop everything.

Hope she has a boyfriend.

Laws are a substitute for justice, a way to try to formally approximate it. As soon as they are formalized they become dictatorial and in the cases where they fail to approximate what justice dictates, their inflexibility becomes authoritarian. At this point there will be tension between those who feel justice inwardly and those who believe that justice and law are one and the same thing. Good law depends on a good sense of justice and a good sense of justice depends on a developed sense of empathy, How will there ever be real empathy in a society in which all value is placed on winning. Empathy in American society is referred to as that peculiar mental illness identified by the term "Bleeding Heart Liberal." That is the horrible disease that says the other isn't evil, he's me. This is why all real religion teaches do unto me and fuck everybody else.
