a whole week he had to wait

The wait is irrelevant in this case... if they told him 2 or 3 weeks from black fri and they delievered as promised, there would be no video. The point is that he set time aside on 2 separate occasions to prepare for the delivery and they wasted his time. And in this day and age, sometimes the best way to get things moving is to bring it to the public and make it costly for the company's PR so that they take action quickly to resolve which is what happened according to the article.

Best Buy is a ****, everyone knows this who has ever tried purchasing a big ticket item from them.

Clever, got the results he wanted I guess.

No warning from my AV. Maybe it's just not as good.

so it's ok to promise a delivery date and then change it twice?

That and his little stunt not only worked, but they gave him a upgrade.

Companies love it when you just sit and don't complain, esp after they have your money. But when you do they then have to take care of you, and this is a prime example.

he should have cancelled his order and bought from someone else.

The problem with this is that he got a Black Friday deal. He may not have been able to get the same machines for the sale price at a later date. They made a promise and broke it.

No BrandsMart or Sears scratch and ding is my guess ;)

/if you have a BrandsMart and need an appliance, don't skip them. We got a non-advertised overstock clearance on the exact model we wanted for $200 less than Sears Outlet and it was in the crate. Sears Outlet was at least $100 less than BB and Fry's but was scratched on the side that would have been to the wall.

it happens(and he has a right to be mad) but you don't act like a 2 year old not getting his Christmas present

I understand it's not a big deal for someone to blow a delivery date with you, because you can always just call into McDonalds and tell them you're gonna miss another half day while you wait for it to be delivered again, but those of us with non fork-and-spoon operator jobs don't have the luxury.

Missing a delivery date TWICE is not common and not acceptable. Congratulations on sucking BB's sack hard enough to cause testicular torsion though, it's gone over very well obviously.

Best Best has the worst customer support of any big store I have ever seen. I have become so fedup with them I am done with the store after I spend the remaining gift card and reward zone money I have left

I don't pay unless they have what I want ready to take home right then. I got burned years back when I bought an L shape desk from a national furniture store. They didn't have the desk in stock and I paid them $1,600 that day (albeit in a CC). It was supposed to be delivered two weeks later - that turned into 45 days. So when I buy something now, I rent a trailer and take it home that day. If they don't have it I tell them to call me when they get it and I'll be back.

As for the guy in the video - BB made it clear he wasn't a priority once they had his $1,600. The bitch working in the store should be fired.

Agentbolt is absolutely right. Working folks can't be blowing personal days waiting for these delivery people.

The guy did the right thing by raising a stink and he got his washer and dryer.

His followup video on youtube is clearly scripted, however. I'm sure BB offered him an upgrade in exchange for him posting the second video and saying what he did.
