Man oh man...tough decision...I need some advice

Okay, I was in the student center Friday because one of my classes was canceled. So I'm sitting there just doing homework and notice a cute girl across the way. I continue to do some work and I casually look up at her, but it's at the same time she's looking at me. 30 minutes pass and I need to get onto my next class and as I get up, she gets up too! I think that was a sign, hehe. I don't say anything because A) I'm too shy and B) a friend was near.

The decision is, should I cut class (a Literature class) tomorrow at the same time and go back? The only problem with this is that I have an assignment to turn it tomorrow and we're in the middle of a project that if I missed class, I'd miss a lot.

So what should I do?

I'd do a probability analysis based on the size of your school. If there's a good chance of seeing her again meet your commitments. If not well, who can say. What's the chance whe'll be back. maybe pop in to see. If she's there go up to her and tell her you came by to say you would like to talk to her, but that you have something that's gotta get done right now. Shy is wonderful, tell her that you came back because you didn't want it (Shyness) to keep her from knowing somebody out there that was attracted enough to want to meet her, or your own version of that. Depends on what you're doing that class, and how well you're doing in the class. If you're a very reliable person to the teacher, go for it. If you're border line, let this one pass. It's very hard, but I mean, grades are more important right now(I can't believe, that I, of all people, said that).

However...I'm just like these guys...make it an obligation to see this gal I hope to see pics of you two when there's a thread asking members to post pics of girlfriends and boyfriends.

don't do anything foolish, when you know you've got current obligations don't ditch them for the prospect of something happening. try and do what needs to be done for lit, if you just need to pop in to turn in the assignment then just do that, no need to stay the entire time. but if you're gonna miss something big it's not going to be worth it when you find out you can't ever see her again because you flunked out of it =D

Going back at the same time and finding the person there rarely happens in real life, but I think you're gonna have to find out for yourself. Can't someone cover for you in class?

Go to your class first, then check to see if she is still there waiting for you. The most importance thing for you at the moment is your education, because it teaches you obigation, commitment & priority. You are at school for an education, and a social life is second to that...If she reallly like you she will be there waiting.

I value love and life over education because I feel those are more important in my own pursuit of happiness... prolly different for everyone...but to be realistic, unless the girl grabs your package, smiles and then walks away, I dunno if u have a legitimate reason to be excited

pamchenko said it exactly. there are things i value over education but you also need to take a realistic view at it. if you just happened to see her i don't see the reason, passing glances like that happen pretty often here i think, so unless there's legitimate reason to ditch class i don't see the hooplah. but then again you were there and not me, that's why you gotta make the call =D

But I don't think it was random occurrence, believe me, it happens to me all the time too. I probably would've said something, but I had a friend with me.

Any more tips, as if I ask her about something and she says she has a boyfriend (d'oh).

Dude, cut class to see the girl. I skipped a test once because I was talking to a hottie. You can always retake the test or drop the class...
