And morons will go to see yet another remake of a remake anyway...

Agreed. I won't be going to see it ... they will not be getting my money.

A person can only take so much before we overload.

According to imdb the movie costs 225 million. When you ad, say, another 40 million for advertising it doesn't come close to paying for the movie.

Although, 160 million is an amazing number.

Saw the movie last night. Not to give away any secrets, but 2 hours and 28 minutes was too long. Too many slow boring parts. They rushed through his life from baby to adult. The graphics were pretty kool especially during the fighting scenes. I have tickets to see it again on Monday, but won't go. On a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being best) I only gave it a 2. The original Christopher Reeves Superman was much better. Best to call this movie UnSuperman of Steel.

holy.. the movie mkaes a profit even b4 opening??

everyone knows movies never actually see profits, when we look at the books for the movie i'm sure it will be seen as a financial "failure", just like every other major movie ever released.

But how was the product placement? Did you feel any sudden urges to go to Subway? Hollywood doesn't care if you liked the film. Details man details. WE NEED TO KNOW IF THE PRODUCT PLACEMENT IS WORKING!!!!

I'll watch the film. Product placements been in films for years and don't bother me.

It really doesn't bother me, but in the past they didn't try to make it so blatant. Now though, they shoot entire scenes around a product. Even the camera angles are there for just that.

At least in some movies and tv shows, since it is so blatant, they have fun with it.

We'll see how bad it is once the movie is out. Look how blatant the Bond movies are with BMW cars. I'll still go and see a Bond movie, with or without any BMWs.

Yeah, $225M is the figure quoted by Box Office Mojo as well.

But $40 is way low for marketing. It's probably closer to $100M-$150M.

Probably why I am not a studio accountant.

That and my honesty.

This movie was a completely unnecessary remake and the sheer amount of product placement in it is just revolting.

Will prolly go see it Friday.
