I don't have a lease for my whole apartment. Just my bedroom, 50% rights to one of the two bathrooms and 25% rights the "common areas"

I like this arrangement because it keeps my rent sepearate from everyone else's and often means I get a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment to myself for months on end b/c the other units are vaccant- all while I just have to pay rent for my share....

The other 3 units were supposed to be filled this weekend, but one of the guys moved in early.

The guys mom sees my gf sleeping in my room, calls apartment management, apartment management calls the police, and I had to leave work to explain to them that my gf wasn't squatting and that she was instead a guest of mine.

My boss was in a video conference when I had to take off and his response was "I hope she's worth it" whatever that means.

FTW.

WTF, if management were confident in their security, the first thing they should have suspected was that she was a significant other. They could have waited till she woke up or woke her up and asked who she was instead of jumping the gun and calling the cops lol.

Wow, that's a nice way for a new roommate to make friends with the current tenents. His him his "mom" is a complete moron. If I were you, I'd make his life hell. It doesn't sound like the management did anything wrong; it's the guy's mother who initiated the fiasco.

Also, your boss if a fvcking idiot. Tell him I said so.

I very well could. He told me his probation is under such conditions that he goes directly to jail in VA if he gets so much as a speeding ticket.

What was his felony?

There are a lot of stupid ones, like possession of certain recreational drugs
