This was clearly written by an idiot who didn't bother to do even the smallest amount of research before writing the article. Clearly, the guy was not fired for just downloading and running the software, he was fired for a host of other reasons, not the least of which is stealing 18 computers from the district.

He should have learned from our own dmcowen674 that installing SETI@Home on computers that are not yours is a big no-no, even if you're paid to administer said computers.
