I'm going to get a hot dog for lunch today in honor of this thread.

Why to picture the meat you don't have?

Actually, I went and bought a hot dog at lunch to satisfy my hunger. You may wish to learn proper punctuation if you want to try to insult me. Anyway, that hot dog was damn good! :)

damn, you are just too tough for me.

It's ok kiddo. :)

oh noes you are Bill. OMGHI2U.

Funny, I would have thought after 14,000 posts they would at least make sense. :)

I think you need to put away your "Jump to Conclusions" mat.

based on your post?

Hate to break it to you, but even being a vegen implies that at some point an animal had to die to feed you. Maybe their habitat was destroyed to make way for your organic tofu or wheat grass, or maybe they died after being run over by a piece of farm equipment. Either way, somethings gotta go. Welcome to reality

please explain then.

What is it you are confused about? I'm confused why you are confused!

You posted that being a vegan means animals had to die. Then mention organic tofu and wheat grass. WTF is organic tofu? Then mention things getting run over by farm equipment as if it's a normal day on all farms.

I think you really don't understand what you are talking about.

Sure on big american farms animals die everyday...this is much of which real vegans are trying to undo.

I have no idea what organic tofu is... but it sounds like something a vegan would eat.

The vegen premise is wrong. Someone who does not eat any animal products has absolutely zero practical effect on how many animals are killed everyday to feed the rest of the world. It's all in your head.

In reality, you merely do not understand the argument.

To help you along...what if two people agreed to not eat any animals...then 4, then 100, then......

Like I have said I eat meat. I love animals too. My animals eat meat. To me that is end of story.

So 4 people don't eat meat, then 100, then 1,000. So what? The remaing 4 BILLION still do.

Numbers are funny things!

So 4 billion of the world eat meat?

That is pretty funny, you are right.

I think you need to research somethings first prior to posting what you think is right.

I was posting a mathematical progression...it's what changes the world when they start to buy in to it.

People don't buy into things that don't make sense. All the mathematical progression in the world can't change that.

People are sheep for the most part. Sense has nothing to do with their choices.

I have nothing else to say to you. It's clear you are issue oriented rather than the 'big picture'.

While I agree that putting a puppy in the oven is cruel and should be illegal, putting a lobster in boiling water is just about as UNNECESSARY as putting a dog in the oven.

You're right. They can be put in the broiler instead. Or, they can be put in cold water that's quickly brought to a boil. Or, they can be sauteed. Or...

How about not eating them? You can live fine without without lobsters in your diet.

You're not one of those nutcases who takes the fly strip outside and releases the flies unharmed, are you?

And feeds them some sugarwater first :)

I would love to be able to not eat anything with eyes...however; it was not part of my upbringing.

Today I eat mostly chicken/turkey and fish. Some pork and beef.
