According to that 2nd link, the cop that is flying through the air is the one that tackles him. That's pretty crazy that he wasn't hurt more!

If it was immediate, how is the assailant not dead from multiple gunshot wounds?

Unless you are trained EMS/doctor, what are you going to do besides potentially make things worse?

Besides, I wouldn't want to "accidentally" get shot by the responding cops, they have actually prevented EMS from getting to innocent people they shot while not rendering aid themselves.

And that's when you're trained to shoot! Definitely premeditated so the guy had a death wish. That cop who tackled him should get a medal for his work.
