Well, I think ppl sometimes get carried away. I know I did, I recently bought a new set of headphones sennheiser HD495 because everyone was saying how great they are. I read reviews and everyone was saying that they are the best sub $100 headphones. Well to me they sound EXACTLY the same as my $20 Philips headphones (they even had volume control). Maybe this is not the case, maybe there is a difference but I certainly can't hear it.

I think this might be the case here too, maybe you are getting a bit carried away just like I did.

I'm going to upgrade my SBLive too...but I have an excuse...

The Boston Accoustics BA7500Gs that I got from the Australian Gateway clearance sale (US$50 for the 4.1 set) are digital only...no analogue input. The original SBLive Value doesn't have the digital out jack, so I thought I'd remedy that by getting the Audigy.

Mr. Grim, I think you would need a headphone amp to enjoy the most out of the seinheiesers.. Everyone says to get best performance from a expensive headphones you need an amp.

Im planning on getting one of the Audigys when they come out. More than Likely the PlatniumEx since i like the idea of the external breakout Box. Ive got a good excuse also as I have one of the Original SoundBlaster Live!'s and its going on 4 years old or so. Figure its about time to upgrade.

It's pretty much the same as the LiveDrive (for the Audigy...a little different to the SBLive Drives), except that it is an external box instead of the 5 1/4 internal box.

It cost so must because of the live Drive. I think it will cost less with just the OEM Audigy card. Just live SB Live series.

I am thinking the OEM card will cost around 70-80 dollars.
