believe me, California has WAAAY more morons than texas. And i'm not just saying this because I live in Berkeley. SoCal has the worse weather of all- blazing hot 90+ degree weather EVERY FREAK'IN DAY with the exception of maybe two weeks during the winter. The people are also annoying, superficial, and stuck up. Northern California has the exact oppose problem- the weather goes from hot to rain in a matter of minutes, and the people are some of the most intolerant, dirty, fanatical extremists I've ever come across.

moving to texas would not only escape Ca, but provide better steak as well

I've visited cali and I agree. I was in san diego for 3 weeks on business.

What a bunch of stuck up pricks. lets no mention the FREAK political views. dems that's fine... SD is WAY on the left end of the spectrum

Do only stuck-up people utilize proper grammar?

Hey you awesome kickass user...

That describes most of the midwest. Which happens to have better steak than Texas.

Iowa/Nebraska corn cattle FTW!!!

I do have a 12 pack of Shiner in my fridge though. So besides the gas that goes in my car, there is a second valuable export to come out of TX. Oh...and Tito's vodka makes a third.

:)

This is not true. I live in SoCal and this is normal weather where I live.

In Vermont too, came from CA in 2000, and been to Texas many times, as well as rest of US. Have to say VT is nice but taxes here piss me off, as well as tre huggers in Burlington, it's like I never left CA. But then on plus side, safe for my kids, air I don't have to chew, no stupid laws to "protect me" like in CA....the list goes on, and on, and on. Only thing I really miss from CA is In and Out and Tommy Burgers.

Carlsbad Home Prices
That says it all.

Yeah, prices are crazy there. I have friends who bought a two thousand square foot house, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms and it cost them about $200,000 in 1994. Now it's worth, if I remember correctly, $1,500,000. Absolutely insane.

And Michigan just sits above you all, happily giving everyone the finger.

It's under a mitten, you can't see it, but it's there. We're giving you all the bird, my friends.

Texas is one of the last places I would live.

QFT. Everyone I know who's moved there has moved back within a couple years.

My Mother-In-Law is from there and my wife has been there many times to visit relatives and she hates it there. So, I'll pretty much never live there...which is fine with me.

CA > *

Fixed. 5th largest economy in the world, beaches, babes, deserts, mountains, the ocean. No way Texas can compare.

Actualy Texas has all of those things also... well maybe not the 5th largest economy, but the rest of it we got covered.

Texas is right behind Cali in terms of largest economy. Texas has much more control over the american economy though. Why? What makes the world go round, energy.

Well theres a reason why companies that were in Cali have moved to Texas. Texas is pro-biz were as Cali isn't.

That is the key to the impending doom that will befall CA. That home is NOT worth $1.5 mil, prices have been artificially driven to those insane amounts by crazed idiots using ARTIFICIALLY low interest rates as a reason they must buy a house while they can...thus feeding the frenzy and the spiral continues. THIS IS NOT SUSTAINABLE. It is going to bite all of you in CA right in the ass in the near future.
