Well, I had been waiting on getting one of these cards, and now that I am ready to buy I go to look for one and I am finding out that they are out of stock and have been for some time. What happened? Did nVidia have issues with them? Anything I should worry about?

Thanks

Yeah, due to production issues, nVidia has cancelled the 7900 lineup, & will be replacing them with the 8000 OMGWTFBBQ editions series :D

Seriously, it seems they are just having trouble keeping up to demand, or so it seems.

Newegg has XFX 7900GTX cards in stock right now. For other brands use their email notification feature.

These are just popular, so they sell out almost as soon as Newegg gets more stock.

Be wary of ordering from ZZF or Monarch if you are in a hurry, since the website "in stock" listings for them are much less reliable / accurate than Newegg's.

for monarch they are not reliable at all. actually they are non-existant. hell, i didn't even get an e-mail telling me they weren't in stock. i had to make a call after a week of waiting for it to ship. CSR told me that their new site will have real-time inventory, but i'm not gonna hold my breath.

I frankly am kinda happy just because ATi is the underdog and could use this as an advantage....still who ever makes the best product for the price gets my vote
