So I've been at this new house for about 2 months now (college student, rented w/4 others) and its in Seattle, kinda underneith the freeway. The neighborhood looked a bit shady but I didnt think it was that bad.
Turns out that the school across the street is a remedial highschool, and one of my girl roomates has been harrassed multiple times (just verbal) by groups of kids hanging outside the school.
Anyways, about a month ago, my car was broken in to, $1500 car audio stolen among other things (all my CD's and more), and to top it off, two nights ago I was leaving for school at about 8AM and across the street there is a man who hung himself off a metal bar thats connected to a tellephone pole. Cops had just got there so they had somthing over his face, but still...thats just messed up.
Cops wouldnt say much, so I have no idea who he was.
Just waiting for the next 'event' to go down...shouldnt have signed a year lease.
I wont even get in to the spider infestation, the crappy heater, the horrible water heater etc etc etc etc.
Sorry, just had to vent =)

Havin one now...on a good note, I turned 21 over the summer so I'm enjoying all the wonders of GOOD beer...gone are the days of miller lite and PBR

As for pics...my neighbor was snapping them off like a mad man...I guess I could ask for them if you REALLY want to see a dead man dangling from a rope...

Well we were getting pretty desperate, but we made a few visits to the house, the owners seemed cool etc etc.

Probably would have been a good idea to talk to the neighbors though, cause I'm sure they would have had some stories.

The funny thing is, if you guys came and visited, you wouldnt pick up on it at all, just by the looks of it its not bad- and on top of that, its adjacent to very nice neighborhoods, its just like on side of one block thats shitty, its kinda hard to explain.
The general part of town though is actually quite nice...

but when you realize that the school is a remedial high school, and that at night the bums like to hang out around there etc...

B.C? or WA?
Cause if your talking about Canada, I've been ripped off in BC as well (damn crack head), and had a few friends get jumped etc...Still a bad ass city though, I do like it more than Seattle.
