The 'debates' on the GTS vs. V5 usually ended up in people flaming each other back and forth... I wasnt about to take part in that.

Besides, I can think of numerous advantages the GTS has over the V5. I'm just pointing on some of 3dfx's good points, 2D quality and compatibility among them. I can just as easily name numerous "bad points" to the V5 compared to it's competition of the time.

Supported features sorta put the GF2 on top. Serious sam is proof, alot of the features in it don't work properly on my v5 but are fine on an MX. *shrug* We can say what if for ages but nothing will come of it

<< haha deeko. I think I saw them all anyway. FSAA! FSAA! A pity all those other nice T buffer effects never got used. The only other one is the motion blur q3 test and sure it looks cool but you can't even play it. >>


Ahh yes, I love my FSAA 🙂 And the T Buffer was cool...its too bad it was never used.

lol yea even the GTS supports didn't like him 🙂 Him and his **confirmed** and his lack of links and when he would post a link, they were always in german 🙂

i went with a v5 instead of a gf2, don't know why but i did....and i'm glad i did, fsaa is so purdy 🙂 i'd never goto another card again unles sit has fsaa....
