man, I can't find any B&M store that sells Grados?

my Senn is teh borken so i've been itching to look for a replacement. I have always wanted to try the Grados SR60 or 80, but i've heard minor complaints about its comfort.

I am in LA, anyone know which store carries it that will offer a 'test drive' ?

The comfort can be fine, but I can tell you (without a good amp) that they lack a LOT of bass.
Hopefully I can get a Little Dot MkII++, but I might sell them. I like my HD485s WAY better. (and that is supposedly a step down!!!, I must need that amp then 😛)

sigh, can the Sonic Impact T-amp be sufficient?

Monty: I had the Little Dot MKIII with my HD595's and i LOVED the combo. Simply stunning, so warm and liquidy, it was great.

Yeah, these Grados even sound like crap compared to my HD485s, in soundstage and bass.
I have heard these Grados sort of amped and they sounded pretty good and I couldn't stop listening. But for daily listening and gaming the Senns win hands down.
BTW, I have the SR-80s.

The Virgin Megastore will have them. I bought my SR-60's from them in Chicago when I was visiting.

Well, their number is 718-435-5340, so you can always call and ask for your nearest retailer. otherwise, just call around to your local hifi shops, at least one should carry Grado.
