I have been busy doing side jobs so many are coming my way. This was one that was sort of a charity deal with a guy that needed to fix his car so he can sell it to live on the money. He relocated from up north for the mortgage business then it bottomed out and he had been left without a job for I think two years now.

I didn't really know him just was asked if I can help. I talked to the guy a bit, he has some O2 sensors, couple filters, plugs and a cat back exhaust as his was rusted through. It should have been an easy job so I told him just get the parts and I'd bring the tools.

I show up ready to go and he had everything ready and the car was actually cool...I hate when I get to a place and they just took the car out to the store for cigarettes or something stupid and don't have the parts sorted. Things were looking good to be in and out quick and without event.

Well his freaking wife immediately came out and took the fan we had saying she needed it in the kitchen if she was going to be running a 'soup kitchen'. I didn't get this at first, but apparently he invited me over for dinner. His wife was thinking I was doing the work in trade for food...which I didn't really see that problem with that either as they'd have probably paid about $400-500 for this. I just thought she was cranky.

About 10 mins later she comes back out and tells us to get in and eat. We are working under losing daylight around 8-8:30, so I just said I wasn't hungry and we had to finish before it got dark.

She goes off on a rampage saying 'as a guest' I have some nerve telling her what time I wanted to eat. I 'should be grateful' someone is willing to feed me. I was hoping the guy would say something other than 'not now honey'.

I sort of snapped back with 'I am not here for the freaking food, I am here to help your husband sell his car'. She goes off how it's worthless anyway and would want a old car like that anyway. (She has a newer honda accord ex they are still making payments that she will not sell).

Anyway she comes back out and dumps a pot of pasta and sauce in the front yard. It was fucked up. Guy was pretty upset...I just finished up. She came back out a few times just trying to start crap...I don't get it. Also found out she isn't working until he can get a better job. I am not sure what he is doing he didn't seem to want to talk about it.

When we were done it started up and ran really well. He had it detailed prior, but everyone thought it had too many problems. I sort of wanted to give it a better detail, but I was about to leave every 2 second there...couldn't take that again. Hopefully he can sell it.

Unfortunately I don't think I am ever going to help him again.

It was a friend of a friend. I had no idea who the guy was other than he sounded ok on the phone...it really wasn't his fault though. He didn't do anything wrong.

I would have said something to the hubby. Tell him if they don't have kids yet, leave her.

pretty hard to bring that up to a guy that is selling his only car for bills...I really wanted too though. They don't have kids as far as I know.

Holy shit... poor guy. She didn't even know you and acted like that? I'd hate to see how she treats him when they're alone.

The soup kitchen comment would have invoked a response out of me. I'd have told her how it was right then and there. What an annoying comment.

Keep in mind this is just a small window into someone else's world. He could have just told her that he has been having an affair with her sister for four years. Who knows. She could be suffering from a brain tumor and on lots of medication. Or she could just be an unhappy bitch.

Watch he sells the car and the car craps out and you get a lawsuit. No good deed goes unpunished.

Well, pray that he get out of that mess of a relationship before he is in to deep.
