With our justice system the defence could say he stuffed snow in the barrel and say he was participating in the snow ball fight. :p

Well, technically the kids were assaulting him. Self defense :D

Honestly, those kids arent going to ever throw a snowball again, and if they do they are going to fear for their life.

Also excuse me but I happen to live in a "trailor park" as you say or "trailer park" or "modular home subdivision" as I say. Our "trailer park" happens to be mostly college educated and/or professional people who, for one or more of the following reasons do not want to live a subdivision. Over pay on a $300,000 house that is way to large for their tastes or needs. Over pay on a $300,000 house that is made of paper thin wood. Over pay on a $300,000 house where you never get to know your neighbors because they are working an ungodly amount of hours to pay the mortgage. Over pay on a $300,000 house and spend what little free time they have on trying to have the best the yard around, always trying to outdo each other.

Our yards are about a half acre which is quite sufficient for our needs, big enough for the kids and small enough to maintain. I know almost every neighbor on the 4 streets around my house. Several of my neighbors are also purchasing these homes ( 3-4 bedrooms 2 - 2 1/2 baths plenty of room ) to pay them off and then move them to property they purchase later. Many are have having full basements installed that will be finished off into play areas, family areas or extra bedrooms and bathrooms if need be. For a fraction of the price. While I know the stigma that many trailer parks have, I also know that trailer parks have evolved into well maintained quiet safe neighbors.

why the hell did you quote your own post? why the hell do you get so defensive? and how is putting 300,000 into a house, that'll you get back when you sell it a waste. Perhaps you have some utopia of a trailer park but all the places around here are awful and I'd rather live in an apartment then there...

Yep, same here. Trailer parks suck ass. I'd never live in one. I have a 2200 sq ft home that I paid $220k for in 1999. I could sell it tomorrow for $450k easily. Tell me again about how I overpaid on my home???

i live with my parents, but i believe the house we are in was around 220k. um, worth around 300k now. um, 6 acres, yea, thats right. unlike the crap trailer park, we have land. trust me, once you have land, you dont ever want to NOT have it.

also, i could name about every one of my neighbors, also known as everyone on the street i live on (about 22 houses) but i would struggle with the 3 most recent ppl who just moved in. also, no neighbor here would get pissed if i went out back, and started shooting off some random gun, or talking loudly, or playing my music loudly. yelling, anything. they all know us, and we know all of them.

Yes, I do know my neighbors. There are 16 homes on our street (cul de sac).

P.S. No i do not, there is one about 10 miles from me thats looks kinda nice if you can look past the cars on blocks and the knee high crabgrass over taking the yards. Sorry about the double qoute weather a little rough and I did not think the first one went thru. My apologies to damiano for qouting him.

tyler I agree with you about not wanting to spend a lot on a huge house. I can see myself buying a cute little 1930's cottage here and being very happy there.

The whole buy a huge house/car as you can possibly obtain seems so wasteful in many ways, I feel sick when I see that new dodge suv commercial with the family bbqing and they are talking with their friends about how they conned their sig. other into buying the suv. Bleh.

Prior to the house I had a 3bd 2.5bth condo. Never thought I would need anything bigger but the opportunity came for us to buy the house so we did. You'd be surprised how quickly a big empty house gets smaller and smaller. We have 4bd 3bth with just me, my wife and our son. We own 3 cars right now. A 96 Isuzu Rodeo (paid cash for it), a 1994 BMW 325i (we own this-trying to sell it) and a '03 Nissan Maxima. I hate SUVs but I have to admit that now that we own one they are kind of nice. Much larger than the 325i is. Hell, the Maxima is much larger than the Bimmer.

BTW-it isn't hard to hijack a thread. Happens all the time.
