That said, McNabb is a great quarterback. Get rid of him if you don't want to go to the superbowl. Yes, he is in a really, really bad slump right now, but so is the rest of the team. A defensive unit, once ranked #2 in the league, now riddled with injuries, is giving up way, way too much. A strong offensive line, giving the quarterbacks about 1 second to throw. Honestly, they DON'T have very good WR's or RB's. Sure, the combination of staley, buckhalter, and westbrook isn't bad, but how many teams use that mutli-back theory? You need one solid back who carries the ball 20-30 times a game, and produces. The WR's are decent at best...Pinkston and Thrash are both pretty good for #2 guys, but neither is suitable for a #1 receiver. The offense is only really superstar-talent is McNabb, so if I were you, I wouldn't be calling for his death just yet.

Oh yea, and Andy Reid needs to get an offensive coodinater to call plays for him, because he is awful at it.

the only reason the defense is having such a hard time is because:

a) they have to stay out there so long because of our inept offense, and so they are tired
b) our offense keeps giving the other team great field position

onto mcnabb...

he hardly even tried to hit his wide recievers. he had plenty of recievers open deep but would always dump it away. i don't think he made any completions longer than 15 yards. there was 1 other stat: he hasn't thrown a TD pass in about his last 120 attempts. is that what you want from your 100 million dollar franchise quarterbacks? i'm sorry, but "philly fans" don't cheer like sheep and accept this kind of play. if you suck, you will hear about it. and mcnabb and reid are hearing about it.

I'm a Cowboys fan. Of course I hate the Eagles. Its in my blood.

The defense is on the field too much, but they aren't doing bad solely because of the offense, no matter how much you'd like that. Two of their pro bowl secondary players are hurt, as well as their rookie defensive lineman. As a unit, they aren't playing that great, they aren't putting near enough pressure on the quarterback, they are dropping balls thrown directly at them. They are playing nearly as poorly as the offense.

Yea, McNabb is playing very poorly, I already said that, but calling for your 3rd string quarterback isn't going to help anything. He will do no better with how little time they are getting, and he hasn't practiced with the 1st string offense. Sure, bench him, maybe Feely is playing better than McNabb is NOW, but that's all you're gonna get, face it, when McNabb is playing well, he is better than Feely could ever dream of being.

I didn't say that the multi-back theory CAN'T work. I'm just saying that it isn't the best way...if you can have a Ricky Williams or a Clinton Portis who is better on all 30 touches than any of your 3 running backs are at any time, wouldn't you rather have that? Of course.
