“After experiencing drastic changes in my environment, I looked for other experiences that might profoundly affect my perception of the self. So I devised another experiment where everyday I took a different drug and drew myself under the influence. Within weeks I became lethargic and suffered mild brain damage. I am still conducting this experiment but over greater lapses of time. I only take drugs that are given to me.”

Computer Duster is compressed air. You can get very VERY high off its propellant.

Just like whipits. Nitrous Oxide. Shit doesn't last long, so I bet he was rushed to make that sketch at all.

edit: guess I'm wrong about that.
Because of the generic name "canned air", some people mistakenly believe that the can only contains normal air or contains a less harmful substance such as nitrous oxide. However, the gases actually used are denser than air, and inhaling can lead to paralysis, serious injury or death.

The funny part is over half of the drugs are pharmaceuticals. BigPharma - The only drug dealer you'll ever need.

Don't do drugs!
Except ours.
Because they are legal and stuff.

So are these supposed to be psychoactive drugs or literally all drugs? He's got Cephalexin in there, which is just an anti-biotic. And "real" Absinthe....which is what, is he dripping mercury and toxic waste into his drink or something?

1. It's more than psychoative but less than "all"
2. AFAIK real absinthe is absinthe WITH thujone (which is supposedly the chemical that fucks you up)

Yeah, but I think the prevailing theory is that, in the olden days, other toxic filler garbage was added to the ingredients.

Thujone, once widely believed to be an active chemical in absinthe, is a GABA antagonist; and while it can produce muscle spasms in large doses, there is no direct evidence to suggest it causes hallucinations.[74] It has been speculated that reports of hallucinogenic effects of absinthe were most likely due to poisonous adulterants being added to cheaper versions of the drink in the 19th century.[75]

Which is why they put the nasty tasting additive in it. Consequently, I always manage to get some in my nose/mouth when using compressed air. /DONOTWANT

A lot of these look like he drew what he was expecting someone on these drugs to draw.

There are some other things that make me question this as a whole:

1. He has multiple marijuana-based drawings. They all look quite different. If it were truly the drug coming out in the drawings, they should be more consistent.

2. He drew something while on Salvia. Not possible unless he didn't actually experience it properly. I'm even surprised he was able to draw lines on a paper while on DMT.

3. Even "real" absinthe has very, very mild hallucinogenic effects (if any at all). My friend has made real absinthe (using the proper strain of wormwood), and he said, "At most, it made me feel a bit more clear headed while drunk."

I don't really buy it, and this is based on experience. Seems like he's just trying...

1. Hitting BHO and hitting some flowers are not the same thing at all. I know of a person who got a full on psychedelic experience from eating hash cookies...something that I previously thought impossible.

2. During the peak, no way. During the come up/come down, definitely possible.

On March 30, 1995, Saunders began drawing at least one self-portrait every day for the rest of his life.[2] For 11 days in 2001, Saunders conducted an experiment in which he ingested or inhaled a different intoxicant everyday and created a self-portrait under the influence documenting the effects of his altered perception.[3] In January 2011, a selection of the drug induced self-portraits presented online went viral.[4] In 2003, Saunders began sleeping with a cassette recorder and documenting both his dreams and somniloquy which led to a wealth of source material for both audio releases and books. The transcriptions of his lengthy somniloquy led to what is known as the Stream of unconsciousness (narrative mode) method of writing.[5]
