Yeah, man. It throws off your whole schedule. When does "tomorrow" become tomorrow? Or "late" turn into early? It's all relative to when people go to bed. But what if they don't go to bed for extended periods of time? It gets weird to consider...

I always seperate one "day" from the next with sleep. So it isn't "tomorrow" until I've gone to bed and gotten up...

Reading what I just wrote, I think I may need to go to sleep.

Psychic prediction: Someone is reading this, and thinking about pointing out that days are divided at 2400 hours, or midnight...thanks, I didn't know that. :p

This thread is deep, man. I try to explain to my dad why i'm up this late. I mean, it's not like I have anything better to do...

So instinctually, at 12am even if the kid's not tired, the parent says (according to their schedule) that its time for beddy. Its just always been the way it works for them.
I got so tired of that.....
Insomniacs like me and you (those reading at the moment) say "schedule? what schedule?"
So true....but going to bed late adn gettuing up early makes me more easily irritated :) Does that happen to everybody?

the usual response from parents to your not having anything better to do is "well, if you have nothing better to do then goto sleep and stop wasting electricity and jacking up the electric bill" Sound familiar?

Not really, but they just say goto bed. Or used to anyway, and 'turn off your computer! We're already paying PG&E x amount of dollars each month.'

Yes, sleeping late and waking up early for work (especially demanding fast paced stressful work) can put a strain on you physically and mentally. I guess one's ability for tolerance takes a slight dive as well. But being able to do that day in day out for year after year, I consider that an accomplishment :) No easy feat.

With so much fun stuff going on, all the time, all around you and me, I find sleep to be quite boring. I suppose some people need it, but I find n o solice in it's venues. ;)

What is this "sleep" of which you speak? It's 2:30am here (PDT), and I'll be at work for a few more hours. I was also on earlier this afternoon, at various times around 2-3pm..

Bah... I'm still up. Not tired yet. Glad I'm far away from people who make me go to bed. Always did hate that.

I went to sleep at 10:30pm last night. On a friday night no less. Just woke up about 20 minutes ago to fool around on the computer a bit. I'm probably going to end up back in bed in a few minutes though.
