I have a Nikon D50 and a Canon SD200.

I was in CostCo tonight and walked by their camera selection and the cameras were so small and thin!

they had a Canon XTI and a D40 there too and they just looked super small too, compared to my D50.

Nothing really important to say, just really surprised.

That's why I'll never own one of them.

My hands are really quite big. They are almost too big for my 10D without a grip.

I like larger cameras so that I can hold them comfortably.

I have large hands and a nikon D50(just big enough to grip) and got a deal on a used SD800IS for my wife and found myself using it quite a bit.

I usually hold it top and bottom with my fingers and use the excellent 230k lcd for viewing and framing.

My first canon and quite impressed with it and will probably get another this summer for a canoe trip for myself. Its so small but the lcd is incredible plus battery life is great and newer models out now.

I also tried the D40 and a canon rebel and didn't like it as my last little finger had nothing to grip.

You just hold the little cameras differently is all.

Even though manufacturers are making strides in lens technology, smaller cameras usually have to trade optical quality for space-savings.
