"HARTFORD -- A Connecticut man is due in court on charges that he targeted his neighbor in an online posting that invited strangers to a rowdy orgy with a soccer mom.

Philip James Conran, 42, is scheduled to appear Thursday in Hartford Superior Court. The West Hartford man is charged with reckless endangerment, harassment and other offenses.

Police say he posted a Craigslist ad on April 5 pretending to be a neighbor with whom he'd been feuding. The ad said she wanted to fulfill her fantasy of group sex and listed her address, prompting several strangers to visit or drive by.

One man was arrested after allegedly going to the wrong address and groping a teenage girl there."

Somewhat misleading thread headline. This story was big in the local news-here's the full story: First, a phony craiglist ad was placed, apparently to harass someone (apparently what Mr. Conran was arrested for). Previously, in response to the craigslist ad, Loser #1went to the house NEXT DOOR to the address in the craigslist ad. He's told by the 16 y.o. girl who answers the door not here, go away. He leaves, goes to the "correct" address and is told the ad is a phony, go away.

At this point he decides he had some spiritual connection with the 16 y.o. girl at the first house, goes back to first house. Cops called, arrest made.

BTW, Loser #1's defense in court is his dyslexia. I'm not saying it is a rational argument.

I think those charges are appropriate for the guy who placed the ad. Remember this is essentially the same area where there was a craigslist hookup murder within the last year.

Why not just shut down the entire Internet? Humans are too stupid to be able to handle the ability to share information so easily and anonymously.
