They are debating about the Missle defense system. 4 on 1 with the crowd against him too. Man, it takes a lot of face.

I love Politically Incorrect...only I usually fall asleep before it comes on. :(

Guess I finally should get off my ass and buy either a TiVo or a TV-Wonder. :(

I hardly watch PI any more because it's become too PC! Bill Maher is the most self-absorbed, full of sh*t hypocrite, it's appalling. He CLAIMS he's a Libertarian, but voted for Nader which means he's either lying about being Libertarian or is too stupid to understand why Nader was antithetical to his supposed beliefs.

Also, every show goes like this:

Bill: Today, Drunky McDumbass (his name for Dubya) did something really stupid.

Audience: w00t!!

Howie Mandel: You know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know....I forgot what I was going to say.

Charlton Heston: Well, Bill, when I was shooting "The 10 Commandments", I met...

Bill: Oh, shut up!!! Face it...Republicans only hounded Clinton because he got a <bleep> and we all know you guys hate sex and anyone who has it! Except for Newt Gingrich!

Audience: <Howling like jackals>

Bill: We'll be right back...

It's Bill and three liberals (or pseudo-liberals trying to stay employed in Liberal-run Hollywood) ganging up and shouting down the token conservative if he starts making a point. Lame.

When I first watched the show, I thought it had potential and could be interesting. DefRef pretty much hit the nail on the head as far as what the show has become.... crappy.

Awww, boo hoo. You guys are just bitter that the conservatives who go on those shows always get ripped a new one by either the other panelists or bill.

They snipped a 2 hour show down to 30 minutes, and half of that was commercials. You tell me how you think they favored the edits?

Also, tell me whether you favor the Missile Defense System or not? We got to hear like 3 seconds of Dornan's opinion...

Put me down as one who thought the show had potential when it first aired. Then, like DelRef said, it went to hell pretty fast. Same script every night.

I actually prefer stuff like "Crossfire" -- at least they have a liberal and someone with common sense (;)) and then they have two guests, one a liberal, the other (again) with common sense :)

konichiwa: Of course the conservative gets "ripped a new one" on every episode of Politically Incorrect. That's the way the show is structured and all you do when you point that out is reinforce DefRef's point. (You certainly didn't refute or disagree with it.)

The show really should be re-named Politically Correct because that's what it really is. And let's face it: realistically that's what it has to be to stay on the air and in the media's good graces.

missle defense is one of the dumbest ideas ever anyway. i'm surprised the republicans are pushing this, they're usually considered good about foreign policy.

<< i'm surprised the republicans are pushing this >>

Many democrats enjoy the idea as well. Program testing continued under Clinton. But it's too much $$$ for too little protection. It won't stop a crazed Canadian from trucking in a portable nuke.

Politically, it must be done. The analysts see a potential threat and to sit "idly by" is more politically dangerous than to put in place "limited missile protection". And I still feel the first operating shield will be put up in and around D.C.

I think the 'shield' is something just like the star wars defense initiative. Ray-Gun convinced the Soviets that is was for real, and they went bankrupt trying to keep up. The problem is, an arms race such as that is no good if you only have 1 in the 'race'. It's a waste of time and money if you ask me...

I hope I'm wrong, that the technology is there, and that it works to protect the US from some nut... but right now I just don't buy it.

Kinda slow on opinions for this one! I've heard it's about as hard as shooting a bullet with a bullet. Does that mean it can't be done? Hmmmm?

I just thought this quote was interesting. I agree that Hollywood is run by liberals, but can you imagine if conservatives ran it? We'd see some really awesome flicks about how gay people are evil, Chevrolet is king, and rifles are a man's best friend. God, for once I'd like to maintain the status quo ;)

Actually the best movies are ones with republicans theme, all the stallone, schwartzenegger, and other action films are all about kicking ass and taking names. If it was a liberal movie they would want to discuss schwartzenegger feelings. Liberals want to make money so there all for making these movies.

LOL, my friend had Dornan arrested for tearing a political button off his shirt, a LONG time ago at school.
I can't believe Dornan is still around.

jacobnero6918,

one thing about Hollywood though, as an "artform" one of the roles of movies in society is to push the envelope of what is acceptable and test what society values. This would be hard to do if the intent was to keep things exactly the same (or even to go backwards).
