Someone needs to give some of you crackers a good smack.

(oh noes, the board doesn't censor 'honkey' or 'cracker.' It only protects black people from being offended! HATE CRIME!)

We've come to expect hate speech from the degenerate members of our society, whatever their skin color.

Oh boy, what can i say about this really?

Who's to say really, its all subjective really.

Really? What can I really say about this, really? I really don't know what to really say. My brain really abhors silence so I have to really say something real, even though I really don't have anything to really say.

Sometimes I really use filler words like Ummm....uhhhh because my brain really can't stand silence. But it really likes the sound of it's owner's voice so ummm in conclusion I really ummm hope you uhhhh get what I ummm really am uhhh stipulating.

Really.

To me it does. It doesn't excuse his behavior or his language, but he was under terrible stress and so I do think it makes his actions somewhat more understandable and makes him somewhat less of a villain in the whole situation.

So he's less of a villain for showing his true character?

Agreed. At least it's not just a drunk guy slapping a child and using racial slurs...it's a man on his way to take his child off life support, probably drinking to deal with the horribleness of that situation.

Still an incredibly stupid thing to do, but it at least puts the situation into perspective that it's not just some mean-spirited old man slapping kids around, it's someone dealing with an extremely difficult situation and taking it out in the wrong way. Not justifying it; but it helps to understand where he's coming from, rather than just being an enormous jerk.

Pain makes people crazy. There probably isn't much that's more painful that seeing your child die. It helps explain his actions, but doesn't excuse them. He still deserves all the legal and professional consequences.

No, it doesn't put things into perspective at all. Hitting a stranger's child and using racial slurs are not okay under any circumstances.

nope.

ok so know we know why he was nuts. it justifies nothing though.
