Hey,

I am trying to get mame working on a dreamcast, I have tried different versions and I can't get any of them to boot. I would like a version that will allow me to play multiple games rather than just one unless there is a way to include multiple versions on one disk with a gui somehow.

If you have mame running on a dreamcast please help me out here.

Thanks,
Josh

Yea see thats the problem. I need help getting a working version but the versions I do find only work with 1 game. I need one that supports them all or a way to make a gui with the ability to select which one I want to play.

This is going in a mini-mame cabinet, 3 feet tall by 15" wide so I will have the DC hidden in the cabinet without access to it so I will not be able to change discs :-/

ACTUAL CARTS so I am doing it legally If you don't believe me see my post of my huge NES collection with Pics. So I do actually own the 700 ROMS

I got it to work using the emulator for the dreamcast you need 2 CD's. 1 too boot up and the 2nd CD for the ROMS. I used NesterDC search google for faq on how to do it.

I also have a NES CD for the PS1 the cool thing about that is no boot CD is required. unlike the dreamcast.

I made the Dreamcast NES CD's years ago so maybe the emulator was updated or there are better ways to do it with no boot CD required now a days.

Sorry I can't be of more help and give you links its been quite a while since I made them and I have not been into that scene for a while. But this does bring back memories.

Eh, I don't think anyone really cares that much if you're using them legally or not, except for nintendo and I haven't really noticed them having much of a presence here.

I was under the same impression as the poster above that you needed 2 CDs to do that on a Dreamcast, a boot one, and one with the ROMs on it. But maybe I'm wrong.

This would be a whole lot easier if you were using an Xbox instead of a Dreamcast.

Yea but I can use a pc cheaper than an Xbox :-/...
