I saw that video last Friday. I never have the luck of having a camera on me when my cats or dogs do anything video worthy like that.

Kitteh!!
The first time I saw mine do that, I thought he was having a seizure or something. But then he started lapping from a cool stream in his dream and as soon as I touched him he woke up purring.
Dang, I miss that guy.

What does this have to with the video/comments?

Well, he's making that statement that he finds it silly when people associate human emotional actions to coincidental animal movements, such as in this video. Mama cat likely didn't actually "hug" the kitten, just adjusted in a way that it looked like she did.

That said....fuck that. That was one of the most adorable things I've seen in a long time. *SNORGLE*

Yes I understand but there aren't any human only actions/thoughts/feelings projected onto the cat here. Mama cat pulls a restless kitten (there are studies that suggest that many animals do dream) closer to comfort it. Quite a few mammals do that.

Also, agreed on the adorable part.

I don't know exactly why, but if a video involves animals or babies/young kids it seems to be very popular. The family used to watch a ton of Funniest Home Video and it was very rare for anything not involving a kid or animal to be in the finals, let alone win. I can kind of understand, it's just shocking the differences in attention some videos get for various reasons.
