I always hated MBAM because all it caught on my clean system was FPs

I am happy to report that it found 0 FPs now :)

Thanks. It didn't prompt me to install a new version from the program so I downloaded manually.

I like that it also scans for rootkits now.

Actually, I just used it to rip a bunch of adware and spyware out of a friends computer... (friends, don't let friends go for the free wallpaper and cursors... )

2) Go to settings, then history settings, then uncheck "Help fight malware by anonymously providing historical information"

I caught the 'premium thing, thanks for the heads up on the feedback setting.

How is it different from something like Norton Internet Security? Can you use both together, or is it one or the other?

Generally, it tends to not interfere with anti-virus products, but I'm not sure about Norton specifically.

Malwarebytes has also changed its licensing model: the free version is still free, but the Premium version (formerly called "Pro") is now offered on a subscription model at $24.95 per year--rather than a lifetime license that had no annual fee.

But anyone who had a lifetime license of the old Pro version is not subject to the subscription model and can upgrade to the new product without paying more.

The interface is completely different and the types of scans have been re-named.

Only minor glitch I found is that the scheduling setup that I had been using on the old Pro version was not carried over to the new version--I had to change it manually.

It works seamlessly with NIS. Along with Superantispy and the others I have. I would not be without it. Unlike AVs, always good to run more than one antimal. If U have a Pro version, you can also run it in real time for active protection, with no problems at all along with yr ONE AV or suite.
