Malware hiding in music

I thought this article I found would be topical as I am seeing this happen to my friends with teens that download a lot of music. I recommend everyone take the time to talk to all the computer users in your family's and your friends about installing these type of social engineering attacks. Most of us spend a lot of effort to protect our systems but often that can be undone by a uneducated user so make it a point to share your knowledge with someone this week. :cookie:

Yeah, as the article says,
DONT allow 'codecs' to download themselves.

Solution - get an established codec pack like CCCP or DIVX all in one.
Then miss out on the dodgy movies that insist on having a special codec.

i have the K-Lite Mega Codec pack installed. Plays every file i've ever thrown at it except for corrupt files. Use something like that or VLC and you'll be fine.
