Malibal Lotus good?

Using it for software development, database work, office apps, and browsing. Adding my own SSD to it as the OS drive. Is there anything comparable in the same price range?

$1200 for the laptop (i7-2630QM, 16GB ram, GF GTX 560M, 320GB 7.2k rpm, upgrade to 95% color gamut AUO Optronics V.4 15.6" matte display[1920x1080], 6.7lbs)
$189 for the OCZ Vertex 3

Only downside is below avg. battery life and no Optimus support.

I have a Sager NP8130 and I love it. I haven't regretted it for a second. The 5165 was a close second, so I'm sure you'll love that as well.
