I have a ati radeon 9250 256mb pci that i just got. I popped the sucker in and after running it for an hour or so i touched it and damn hot to the touch. I got a temperature probe and put it on and im reading like 120 degrees f. Im like holy crap so i had just upgraded from a 5200 which idk if the 9250 is better but curcuit city said so. Anyway I had a heatsink w/ fan that fit so i took it off and put it on the 9250 and jerry rigged the fan which read correct voltage and was working fine when on but no image. Can anyone please help me to find out if i fried the damn thing or what cause im getting now video but it stays cool. LOL

was the card originally passively cooled or did the stock cooling have a fan? It sounds like you probably fried it. You probably voided the warranty when you took the stock cooling off.
